Advion Ant Gel is Syngenta's indoxacarb ant bait. Ants find it more attractive than the food they were already working on, and the delay before it acts gives them time to carry it back and share it through the nest.

From the PestX team
The formulation of Advion Ant combines food-grade inert carriers, highly effective attractants and carbohydrates to enhance the appeal to targeted ants.
Ants find Advion Ant so attractive that they have shown a preference for it over other food sources.
The slight delay in ant mortality, caused by the active ingredient indoxacarb, allows ants to consume the bait and return to the nest to pass it to other ants, resulting in a significant reduction in ant populations.
Baits only work while the ants are working, so put the gel out where you can see them trailing, and top it up rather than spraying over it – a surface spray near your bait will stop the ants reaching it. Protein-feeding ants may ignore a sweet gel: if that's what you have, granules are the better tool.
