From the PestX team
Kill the nest. This is one of our favourite on-the-job products.
When customers have ants in the house, it's almost always because the ants are going crazy outside the house.
There are two sorts of ants – those that eat sugar, and those that eat protein and fat. These granules can target both. Black ants chase sugar but will still take this granule, brown ants are often protein feeders and will hit it fast, and meat ants will take it too.
The benefit of a granule is that the ants cart it down into the nest and feed it to everyone, including the queen. Once you kill the brood and the queen, it's game over for the rest of the nest.
Like all baits, only put it out when ants are actually working – don't spread it on the off-chance. Follow the label directions for rates and where it can be applied, and keep cats and dogs off the treated area while the ants are taking the bait.
